Booking
A confirmed booking will be made on receipt of a 20% deposit which can be arranged via the Booking Form on this website. At this stage key holding, house location and staying details will be emailed to you.
Getting to Foz de Arelho
Airports | There is a choice of 3 airports:
- Lisbon Airport – the closest airport. It is approx 1 hour drive north to Foz.
- Oporto Airport – Foz is approx 3 hour drive south
- Faro Airport – Foz is approx 4 hour drive north.
Car Hire | Car hire is pretty essential, particularly if you would like to explore any of the surrounding towns and beaches further away.
Travelling from any of these airports gives you and your family the opportunity to explore some of the surrounding resorts and cities before reaching the idyllic beaches around Lagoon Villas.
Public Transport | There are public transport services from all 3 airports to Caldas da Rainha and a bus service from Caldas which is 6Km from Foz.
Driving Directions | From Lisbon Airport, take the A1 North and watch for signs for the A8 towards Leiria.
Follow the A8 until Junction 18, signposted Caldas da Rainha and Foz do Arelho.
When you come off the motorway take the left turn at the roundabout and continue straight on following signs for Foz do Arelho.

Close / Lock Doors | Please make sure that you close and lock ALL doors and windows when you go out.
Drains | Please do NOT put items like tampons or nappies down the toilets as the drain pipes in Portugal are susceptible to blockages.
Don't lock yourself out! | Beware of closing patio / balcony doors when you are outside. If you don’t have a key on you, it will be impossible to get back in.
Towels | Please use your own beach towels for the pool and the beach. (We have a couple of large blue / black ones in the house that can be used for the beach but not enough for 6 people.)
Local Information | We have left information on the local area in the bookcase so please feel free to use this and add any notes which you think other guests might find useful.
Recycling | Please use the coloured bags in the kitchen for separating items out for recycling. There are several recycling bins in the village.
